    As her mother left, Lily stared wide-eyed at the shadows. She imagined them turning into monsters, ready to jump at her any moment.

    With a determined look, Lily decided to face her fear. She sat up on her bed, ready to fight the imaginary monsters.

    The room remained silent. Lily's fear was slowly fading away. She realized that the monsters were just figments of her imagination.

    With a sigh of relief, Lily lay back down, her heart filled with a newfound courage. 'I'm not scared anymore,' she whispered to herself.
