In a small town surrounded by a lush forest, a young boy named Jack loved to play hide and seek with his friends. Today was no different. They gathered at the forest's edge, excited for their game.

Jack was known for his incredible hiding spots. He decided to venture deeper into the woods this time, hoping to find the perfect spot. His heart fluttered with excitement.

As he walked further, he spotted a hollow tree. It was the perfect hiding spot! He crawled into the tree, feeling triumphant. His friends would never find him here.

Time passed slowly in the quiet forest. Jack started to worry when he heard no sounds of his friends. He crawled out of the tree to find the forest looking unfamiliar.

Jack realized he had wandered too far and was now lost. He felt a pang of fear, but quickly brushed it aside. He needed to find his way back home.

Jack remembered his dad's advice - follow the sun to find your way. He looked up at the sky, the sun was setting in the west, towards his home.

He started walking, but the dense trees made it difficult to keep track of the sun. Jack had to come up with a new plan. He needed help.

Suddenly, he noticed a friendly squirrel watching him from a tree branch. Jack remembered how squirrels always found their way back to their nests. He decided to follow it.

The squirrel seemed to understand and started hopping from tree to tree. Jack followed closely, his heart filled with hope. He felt a little less lost now.

Suddenly, the squirrel stopped at a small stream. Jack recognized it! He and his friends played near it often. He was close to home.

Jack thanked the squirrel and started following the stream. His heart pounded with relief and excitement. The forest didn't seem so scary anymore.

As he walked, Jack spotted familiar trees and rocks. His fear turned into joy. He was almost home. He could see the lights twinkling in the distance.

He finally reached the edge of the forest, his heart filled with relief. He saw his worried friends and parents. They were all relieved to see him safe.

Jack shared his adventure with them. He spoke about his fear, the squirrel, and how he found his way back. His parents hugged him tightly, proud of his bravery.

That night, Jack learned an important lesson about adventure and safety. He realized the importance of staying close to familiar areas and never wandering off alone.

Jack fell asleep that night with a smile on his face. He knew he would always remember this day. His adventure had turned into a lesson he would never forget.
