Once upon a time in a dense jungle, lived four friends - a mouse, a crow, a deer, and a tortoise. They were different in nature but were inseparable friends, always helping each other in times of trouble.

One day, while the mouse, crow and deer were chit-chatting under a tree, they heard a loud cry. It was their friend, the tortoise, who had got caught in a hunter’s trap.

Upon hearing the cry, the deer said, 'What shall we do now?' The mouse replied, 'Don’t worry, I have a plan.' All the friends decided to work together to free the tortoise.

The deer ran towards the path the hunter would take, and suddenly fell down, pretending to be dead. The crow flew to the spot and started pecking at the deer as if it was dead. As the hunter approached, he saw the 'dead' deer and the crow.

The hunter was overjoyed to see the deer. 'Oh! A dead deer! Its meat will be enough for several days!' He thought, leaving the tortoise’s trap on the ground and rushing towards the deer.

As soon as the hunter left the trap, the mouse, who was hiding in the bushes, came out and cut the trap, freeing the tortoise. The tortoise slowly made its way to hide in the bushes.

Seeing that the tortoise was safe, the crow squawked loudly and flew away. The deer also got up and ran away swiftly. The hunter was shocked to see this.

The confused hunter returned to where he had left the tortoise’s trap, only to find the cut trap and no tortoise. He sighed, 'I shouldn’t have been so greedy.'

The four friends were immensely happy with their successful plan. Their teamwork had saved their friend from danger. They promised to stay united in the future as well.

From that day, they became even stronger friends, always looking out for each other. They knew that together, they could face any danger that came their way.

Their unity became a legend in the jungle. All the animals admired their friendship and learned the importance of unity and teamwork from them.

And so, the four friends continued to live happily in the jungle, their friendship becoming a beacon of unity and strength for all.
