I am a maid who works in a large house on the edge of town. One day, the lady of the house calls me and another maid, whose name I don't know, into her room. She tells us of a new fashion sweeping the area, of riding pantomime horses.

The idea sounds absurd yet interesting, so the lady decides that she wants to try it. A third maid comes in and dresses me and the other maid in a pantomime horse costume.

I end up being the front end of the horse. The lady walks around the horse, inspecting us and making slight adjustments to the costume.

We are told to walk. At first, we are uncoordinated, stumbling over each other's feet. But with practice, we improve. We even start to trot, much to the amusement of the lady.

The lady laughs and gives the horse a name. The third maid helps the lady into her riding gear, and puts a saddle and rein on us, now being treated as a real horse and not allowed to talk.

The lady mounts the horse and we set off to meet her friends. After a while, we arrive at the stables of a cafe on the outskirts of the town.

The women in the other pantomime horses take off their costumes, and we follow suit. The cafe staff seem unsurprised by this, as if it's a regular occurrence.

We indulge in a hearty meal at the cafe, sharing laughter and stories. Being a pantomime horse turns out to be more fun than we had imagined.

Once we're done eating, we put on our pantomime horse costumes again. The lady mounts the horse and we set off back to the house, our stomachs full and hearts content.

The pantomime horse riding becomes a regular part of our lives. It brings a sense of adventure and excitement to our otherwise mundane routine.

Over time, I grow close to the other maid. We learn to coordinate our movements perfectly, becoming the best pantomime horse in town.

One day, the lady announces a pantomime horse race. The news excites us. We begin practicing harder than ever, determined to win.

The day of the race arrives. There's a festive atmosphere. The townfolk gather around the race track, eager to witness the unusual spectacle.

The race begins and we surge forward. Despite stiff competition, we manage to stay ahead, our movements perfectly synchronized.

We cross the finish line first, the crowd cheering wildly. The lady is ecstatic. We are declared the winners of the first pantomime horse race in town.

The victory brings us closer. The other maid and I become good friends. We share our stories, our dreams, our fears.

The pantomime horse riding becomes the talk of the town. We inspire many others to try it. The town becomes known for its unique fashion trend.

The lady organizes more races. We participate in each one of them, always putting up a good show. The townfolk look forward to these races eagerly.

We continue our adventures as a pantomime horse, exploring new places, meeting new people. Each day brings a new story, a new memory.

One day, a group of tourists visit our town. They are fascinated by the pantomime horse riding. They join in the fun, adding to the excitement.

The tourists leave, but the memory of their visit stays with us. They promise to spread the word about our town and its unique fashion trend.

The lady is proud of what we have achieved. She thanks us for our dedication and hard work. We feel appreciated, our efforts recognized.

As time passes, the other maid and I become inseparable. We share a bond that goes beyond the pantomime horse. We become more than just colleagues. We become family.

We continue to participate in the pantomime horse races, always giving our best. We never lose the excitement, the thrill of the race. It becomes a part of who we are.

Our story as the pantomime horses becomes a legend in our town. We inspire others to embrace their uniqueness, to dare to be different.

The pantomime horse riding becomes a symbol of our town, a testament to our spirit of adventure and camaraderie. It brings the town together, uniting us in a unique way.

We continue to serve as maids in the large house on the edge of town. But we are more than just maids. We are the pantomime horses, the pride of our town.

Our story serves as a reminder that even the most unusual ideas can bring joy and excitement. It's all about embracing the new, the different, the unique.

And so, we continue to trot along, creating new stories, new memories. We are the pantomime horses, and our adventure is far from over.
