One sunny afternoon, little Jhad was walking home from school with his mother. As they were passing by a narrow alley, they heard a soft whimpering sound. They followed the sound and found a shaggy dog with sad eyes, huddled alone.

Jhad's heart melted at the sight of the dog. He pleaded with his mother to let him keep the dog. He promised he would take full responsibility, but his mother was reluctant. Eventually, she decided to send the dog to the Animal Shelter.

Jhad was heartbroken but he didn't lose hope. He came up with a brilliant idea to show his mother that he could be responsible. He decided to do kind deeds for his mother, hoping to convince her to get the dog.

The next few days, Jhad woke up early to make breakfast, helped with laundry and even cleaned the whole house. His mother was surprised and pleased with Jhad's sudden change of behavior.

Finally, Jhad gathered his courage and asked his mother if they could get the dog. He reminded her of all the responsibilities he had taken on recently. His mother was touched by his efforts.

After much thought, she agreed to let Jhad have the dog, but under one condition - that he would take care of it. Jhad was overjoyed and promised to take good care of his new friend.

They went to the Animal Shelter the next day. When they found the shaggy dog, Jhad's eyes lit up with happiness. He couldn't wait to bring his new friend home.

As soon as they reached home, Jhad decided to name the dog Lucky. He felt lucky to have found such a wonderful friend. Lucky seemed to understand and wagged his tail in approval.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Jhad and Lucky were inseparable. Jhad kept his promise and took great care of Lucky, feeding him, bathing him, and taking him on walks.

One day, as Jhad's mother was coming home from work, she heard a barking sound. She opened the door to find Jhad and Lucky playing happily. She smiled, knowing she had made the right decision.

Jhad's kindness and responsibility had not only won him a new friend but also taught him important life values. And Lucky, once a lonely, shaggy dog, now had a loving home and a best friend in Jhad.
