    Rosa, a widow, lived with her only daughter Pinang. Rosa loved Pinang dearly and taught her all the household chores, but Pinang was a free spirit and often found excuses to avoid work.

    One day, Rosa fell sick and was unable to get out of bed. As a result, Pinang had to take over the household chores. Rosa asked her to cook rice porridge.
