Once upon a super long time ago in ancient Egypt, a teeny-tiny baby boy named Moses was born. His family really, really loved him, but there was a mean Pharaoh who said all the baby boys like Moses must be killed. Oh no!

To save Moses, his mom made a smart plan. She made a little basket, coated it with tar to keep it dry, and placed baby Moses inside it. She gave him a big kiss and said, "See you real soon!"

Moses' mommy took the basket to the river and gently put it in the water. The little basket went floating away, and Moses' mommy, with tears in her eyes, watched it sail, praying really hard that her son would be safe.

The basket carrying Moses went on a river adventure. Suddenly, a friendly duck noticed the floating basket and swam closer to check it out. The duck saw the baby and thought, "I'll be your friend!" So, off they went together.

The duck made gentle quacking sounds, trying to make the baby feel comfy. Moses, in turn, laughed at the silly duck moves. They quickly became friends—the baby boy and the friendly duck.

As they went on their floaty journey, the duck sometimes gave the basket a little nudge, making sure it stayed away from bumpy rocks and tricky currents. The duck really, really wanted to keep Moses super safe!

While all this was happening, the Pharaoh's daughter was having a bath in the river. She noticed the basket floating towards her and ordered her servants to bring it to her.

When the princess opened the basket, guess who she found? Baby Moses! He looked at her with his big, shiny eyes, and she felt a special connection. The princess decided, "You're going to be my son!" Yay for baby Moses! 🌟
