Chang'e and Hou Yi lived a life of contentment and happiness. They cared deeply for each other and were inseparable. Their love was a beacon of hope for all who knew them.

One day, Hou Yi received an elixir of immortality. He was hesitant about drinking it, as he didn't want to live eternally without Chang'e by his side. So, he gave it to her for safekeeping.

Upon learning about the elixir, a wicked man schemed to steal it. He approached Chang'e, demanding she hand it over. Terrified for her husband's life, Chang'e made a brave decision.

To prevent the wicked man from obtaining the elixir, Chang'e drank it herself. As she did, she started to float, her body becoming lighter and lighter, and began ascending towards the moon.

Chang'e landed softly on the moon's surface. The environment was unfamiliar and lonely. She missed her husband and her home.

In her loneliness, she found an unexpected friend - a little white bunny. The bunny was friendly and kept her company. A bond of friendship quickly formed between them.

Each year, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, people remembered Chang'e and her sacrifice. They looked at the big, round moon and thought of her and the bunny.

People ate delicious mooncakes, a traditional dish of the festival, and enjoyed the bright moon. They shared stories of Chang'e's bravery and the bunny's friendship, ensuring their tale lived on.
