Anaya, a little Indian girl with sparkling eyes, wakes up and sits up in bed, excitement bubbling inside her. She looks out the window at the blue sky, knowing today is special.

Mama, her gentle mother, enters the room with a wide smile. "Happy Holi, Anaya!

Are you ready to paint the world with colors today?" "Yes, Mama! I can't wait!

Will Papa play too?"

Papa, tall and cheerful, joins Anaya and Mama in the kitchen. Anaya helps her mother fill water balloons and arrange the sweets.

Laughter echoes as Papa sneaks a pinch of color onto Mama's cheek.

"No one is safe from colors today!" "Papa, you have a blue nose now!" "Let’s take the colors outside before we turn the whole house rainbow!"

Anaya clutches a handful of pink powder, her heart racing with joy. She spots her best friend Meera, who waves with hands already dusted in green.

Drums and music fill the background, making everyone want to dance. "Anaya!

Let’s make each other the most colorful girls here!" "You’re on, Meera! Get ready!"

Anaya runs after Meera, their laughter mingling as they duck and play. Papa and Mama join in, tossing gentle handfuls of color.

The whole courtyard becomes a shimmering whirl of hues. "Remember, Holi is for fun and love!" "I love Holi!

We’re all so colorful and happy together!"

Anaya nibbles on a gujiya, listening wide-eyed as her grandmother explains why colors are part of the festival. Friends and families sit close, their faces bright and their spirits even brighter.

"Grandma, when I grow up, I want to tell these stories too," Grandma, with silver hair and kind eyes, smiles and pats her hand. "And you’ll tell them beautifully, my little rainbow."

Anaya snuggles between Mama and Papa, her heart full and her smile bright. The stars peek out, promising more adventures tomorrow.

"This was the best Holi ever. Thank you, Mama and Papa," "With you, every Holi is brighter, Anaya,"
