Emma's Glasses

Emma, the smallest kindergartener, wheeled herself into her classroom, her glasses perched on her tiny nose. She was the only one in her class who used a wheelchair and wore glasses.

Emma was always worried about what others would think of her. She was different, and she knew it. Her heart pounded as she entered the noisy, chaotic room.

As she moved towards her desk, she dropped her pencil. She sighed, unable to pick it up. Suddenly, a boy named Jack bent down and handed it to her.

"Thanks, Jack," she said, a shy smile spreading across her face. Jack nodded, returning her smile. Emma felt a little less worried.

During recess, Emma stayed in the classroom, watching as her classmates ran around and played. She wished she could join them.

Suddenly, she heard someone say, "Let's play here so Emma can join us!" It was Mia, a girl from her class who was always full of energy.

Emma felt her heart swell with happiness as the kids gathered around her, including her in their game. She felt accepted, despite her differences.

Over the next few weeks, Emma realized that her classmates didn't see her any differently because of her wheelchair or glasses. They just saw Emma.

One day, Emma forgot her glasses at home. Without them, she could barely see anything. She was worried about how she would manage the day.

But as soon as her friends found out, they all rallied around her. Jack read out loud for her, while Mia guided her around the classroom.

Emma was touched by their kindness. She realized that she was not alone. Her friends were there for her, no matter what.

From that day on, Emma was no longer afraid. She was confident and proud of who she was. She knew she was surrounded by friends who cared for her.

Emma's story teaches us that it's our differences that make us unique. And true friends will always accept us for who we are, regardless of our differences.
