One sunny afternoon, Lily's mother called her into the kitchen. Curious, Lily trotted in, her apron swishing around her.

On the table, there were small containers, soil, water and a variety of seedings all in little packets. Lily’s eyes widened in surprise.

Her mother asked if she would help her start seedings for their garden. Lily beamed and nodded, eager to get her hands dirty.

Lily's mother taught her, step by step, on how to start the seedlings. They filled the containers with soil, made small holes, and carefully placed the seeds.

Together, they watered the seeds and placed them near the sunny window. Lily felt proud of the little garden they had created in their kitchen.

Her mother explained the importance of growing a family garden. It was a way to provide healthy food for their family, and it was also a fun activity they could do together.

Each day, Lily would water her plants, whispering sweet words of encouragement to the tiny green sprouts. She felt a sense of responsibility and delight.

Lily watched as the seedlings began to grow stronger each day, their tiny leaves reaching towards the sunlight. She could hardly wait to plant them outside.

Her mother told her they had to wait for the weather to get warmer. Planting them outside too soon could harm the young plants.

Lily understood and promised to take the best care of her plants. She wanted them to grow big and strong, just like her.

As the days grew warmer, Lily could hardly contain her excitement. It was almost time to plant the seedlings in their outdoor garden.

Each day, as she watered her plants, she imagined them flourishing outside, providing fresh, healthy food for her family. And she knew, she was a part of something big and beautiful.
