Matilda sat in the school library, flipping through a dusty, old fairy tale book. But her mind was far from the stories she was pretending to read.

Her eyes darted to the window as she saw her evil principal returning to the school. His menacing figure sent a shiver down her spine.

Principal Miss Trunchbull had been away for weeks. The school had enjoyed a brief period of peace, but his return threatened to undo it all.

Matilda was determined to protect her friends from Trunchbull's tyranny. She closed her book, stood up, and left the library, a plan forming in her mind.

She assembled her friends, Bruce, Lavender, and Nigel in their secret hideout, the school's old garden shed. She shared her plan, and they all agreed to join her.

The plan involved tricking Trunchbull into thinking the school was haunted, scaring him away permanently. Matilda was going to use her telekinetic powers to create the illusion.

The next day, Matilda and her friends set the trap. They used yarn to create cobwebs around Trunchbull's office and drew eerie pictures on the walls, to set the stage.

Waiting nervously, Matilda used her powers to make a pen write a chilling message on the chalkboard reading "Leave this school!" when Trunchbull entered his office.

Principal Trunchbull's reaction was priceless. His face turned white as he looked around the room, terror creeping into his eyes.

Not one to scare easily, he dismissed the antics as childish pranks. But little did he know, Matilda's plan was only beginning.

The following day, the 'haunting' became even spookier. Books flew off shelves, doors creaked open on their own, and whispers echoed through the halls.

Trunchbull, despite his efforts to remain calm, was visibly shaken. He began to suspect something supernatural was happening and his fear grew.

Matilda and her friends watched from their hideout, barely suppressing their laughter. Their plan was working beautifully.

For the finale, Matilda planned a grand spectacle. The entire school would witness Trunchbull's fear, and he would be forced to leave.

In the school assembly, Matilda made the lights flicker while ghostly figures danced across the stage. She then made a booming voice demand Trunchbull's departure.

The look of sheer terror on Trunchbull's face was something the students would remember for the rest of their lives. He ran out of the school screaming, never to return.

The students cheered loudly as they watched their tyrant principal flee. Matilda and her friends shared a victorious high-five. They had done it.

The news of Trunchbull's departure spread quickly. Parents and teachers were surprised, but the students couldn't be happier. Matilda had saved their school.

In the following days, the school atmosphere changed drastically. Lessons became enjoyable, and fear was replaced with laughter. The students thrived in their newfound freedom.

Matilda, Bruce, Lavender, and Nigel returned to their normal school lives. But they would always share a special camaraderie, bound by their secret mission.

The students never found out who was behind the 'haunting.' But whenever they passed by Matilda, they gave her appreciative smiles, sensing her role in their freedom.

As for Matilda, she was just glad she could help her friends. Her powers had once again proven useful in defeating evil.

In the end, Trunchbull was just a bad memory. The students eventually forgot about him and the horrors of his reign. Yet, they always remembered their school's 'haunting.'

Matilda and her friends often revisited their old hideout, reminiscing about their brave adventure. It was a memory they would cherish forever.

Matilda's bravery and quick-thinking had saved her school from tyranny. She proved that small heroes could indeed defeat big villains, fueling hope in everyone around her.
