Once upon a time, in a small town lived a curious little girl named Lia. She was four years old, full of energy and always eager to learn new things. One day, her grandfather, Grandpa João, visited her, holding a handful of shiny coins.

"What are these, Grandpa?" Lia asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. Grandpa João smiled and explained, "These, Lia, are coins. We use them to buy things we need or want."

Lia was intrigued and wanted to understand more. So, she gathered all her toys and set up a playful shop in her room. She called her teddy bear, Tico, to be her first customer.

With her coins, Lia pretended to sell toys to Tico. She quickly realized that with each toy sold, her coins were reducing. By the end of the day, she only had one coin left.

Worried, she showed the last coin to Grandpa João. He chuckled and brought out a colorful piggy bank. "This, Lia, is a piggy bank, where we can save our coins," he explained.

Lia was fascinated by the piggy bank. Each day, she would add a coin and count how many she had saved. She was learning the importance of saving and was excited to see her savings grow.

One day, Grandpa João told Lia about a wonderful amusement park in the city. Lia's eyes widened with excitement. She wanted to go there, but she knew it would cost money.

"I will save my coins to go to the amusement park," Lia declared. And so, she saved even more enthusiastically, counting her coins every day and dreaming of the fun she would have.

After several weeks of diligent saving, Lia had enough coins to visit the amusement park. She jumped with joy and thanked Grandpa João for teaching her the value of savings.

Lia's visit to the amusement park was everything she had dreamed of. She enjoyed the rides, the cotton candy, and the laughter. The joy of her achievement made the day even more special.

That night, Lia thanked her piggy bank, Tico, and especially Grandpa João. She was proud of herself and understood the importance of saving money. The journey of her first coins was a lesson she would never forget.
