Nat sat on the rug, her eyes wide with excitement. It was the holiday season, and she was ready to learn her ABCs - holiday style.

Her mom, Mrs. Jenkins, was a teacher and had come up with a fun way for Nat to learn her ABCs during the holidays.

'A is for Angel,' Mrs. Jenkins began, pointing to the angel at the top of the Christmas tree. 'B is for Bells,' she continued, showing Nat the jingle bells.

'C is for Candy cane,' Mrs. Jenkins said, handing Nat a striped red and white candy cane. 'D is for Decorations,' she added, gesturing to the decorations all around them.

They moved through the alphabet, from 'E for Elves' to 'J for Joy', 'K for Kwanzaa' to 'N for Noel'. Every letter brought a new word and a new holiday concept for Nat to learn.

'O is for Ornaments,' Mrs. Jenkins said, pointing to the sparkling ornaments on the tree. 'P is for Presents,' she added, with a wink at Nat.

From 'Q for Quiet nights' to 'U for Unity', Nat was absorbing all the holiday words. She giggled when they got to 'V for Vacation', the concept of a holiday from school delighted her.

'W is for Wreath,' Mrs. Jenkins said, touching the green wreath on their door. 'X is for Xmas, another word for Christmas,' she explained.

'Y is for Yule,' Mrs. Jenkins said, referring to the ancient winter festival. 'And Z, Z is for Zest, the excitement we feel during this time.'

Nat beamed, her head full of new words and their meanings. She couldn't wait to share her holiday ABCs with her friends at school.

As the night set in, Nat cuddled up to Mrs. Jenkins, her eyes heavy with sleep. 'Thank you, Mommy,' she murmured, 'I loved learning my holiday ABCs.'

Mrs. Jenkins kissed Nat's forehead, whispering a soft 'Goodnight.' She was proud of Nat, and she knew this was a holiday season they would both remember.
