Ben was a fun kid. He ran, he played, and he laughed with all his friends. The sun was high and the day was just right for fun.

Jen, his best friend, joined in. She was as lively as Ben. Together, they made the playground their fun land.

Suddenly, Ben and Jen saw a big red hen by the gate under the tree. They looked at each other and grinned. The chase was on!

The big red hen was fast. It ran this way and that, making Ben and Jen laugh and run more. It was a fun game.

The hen led them to a field. They ran, they fell, they got up and ran again. The hen was still not caught, but they were not tired.

Ben and Jen decided to split. Ben would go right and Jen would go left. They thought they could catch the hen this way.

The hen ran towards the stream. Just as Ben was about to catch it, it jumped over the stream and ran away.

Jen laughed and Ben joined her. They sat by the stream, tired but happy. The chase was fun. The hen was free.

They saw the big red hen again. It was back at the gate under the tree. They looked at each other and smiled. No more chase for the day.

Ben and Jen went back to their friends. They told them about the hen, the chase, the fall, and the stream. It was a fun day.

As the sun set, the playground started to empty. Ben and Jen waved goodbye to their friends and the big red hen.

They knew they would come back tomorrow for more fun. Maybe they would chase the hen again, or maybe they would just play. But they knew, it would be a fun day.
