The Caffeine Frenzy
By Storybird

28 Sep, 2023

It was a peaceful day in the Nordic region. I, Norway, had decided to spend the day reading and sipping my coffee. The peace was uninterrupted, or at least, that's what I thought.

My little brother, Iceland, had found a comfortable spot on the couch and was fast asleep. Meanwhile, Finland and Sweden were outside, enjoying the snow and sledging.

Little did I know, Denmark had been continuously refilling my coffee cup. The caffeine was starting to make me jittery and unfocused.

I was finding it hard to concentrate on my book. I kept reading the same line over and over but couldn't make sense of it. I was twitching, and it was getting worse.

I was becoming agitated. The calm and composed Norway was replaced by a feral version of me. My actions were erratic, I was biting on anything I could find.

My transformation did not go unnoticed. Iceland woke up from his sleep, startled by my behavior. He watched as I gnawed on his shoe with a horrified expression.

"Big brother! Stop eating my shoe!" Iceland screamed. His voice echoed through the room, but it didn't stop me. I was too high on caffeine to listen.

However, amidst the chaos, something struck me. Iceland had called me 'big brother'. It was a term of endearment I had never heard from him before.

Hearing him call me 'big brother' brought an unexpected smile on my face. Even in my feral state, I felt a surge of warmth and affection for my little brother.

Denmark, who had been silently watching the whole episode, couldn't help but laugh. He found my caffeine-induced frenzy amusing, despite the chaos.

The noise attracted the attention of Finland and Sweden, who came rushing inside the house. They were surprised to see me in such a state.

Finland immediately understood the situation. He scolded Denmark for his reckless behavior and made him promise to stop messing with my coffee.

Sweden silently observed the situation. He didn't say a word but his stern gaze was enough to make Denmark realize his mistake.

The rest of the day was spent trying to calm me down. Finland prepared some herbal tea to counteract the caffeine while Sweden kept a close watch on Denmark.

Iceland stayed by my side the whole time, constantly calling me 'big brother'. Each time he did, I felt my erratic behavior subsiding a bit.

As the day ended, I finally started feeling better. My actions were no longer feral, and I was able to control my twitching. I was back to being the calm Norway.

The incident had been a shock to all of us. It was a reminder of the effects of excessive caffeine and Denmark's reckless behavior.

That night, as we all sat together, there was a sense of unity among us. Despite the day's events, we were all together, like a true family.

Before going to bed, Iceland gave me a hug and whispered, "Goodnight, big brother." It was the perfect end to a chaotic day.

The next day, I woke up feeling refreshed. The memories of the previous day were still fresh, but I was determined not to let it affect me.

Denmark apologized for his actions and promised not to mess with my coffee again. Despite his mischievous nature, he seemed genuinely sorry.

Finland and Sweden advised me to limit my caffeine intake. They didn't want a repeat of the previous day's events. I agreed, promising to be more careful.

Iceland seemed to be the happiest among us. He was glad to have his 'big brother' back to normal. His happiness was contagious, making us all smile.

We all learned a valuable lesson that day. It was a reminder of the importance of moderation and the dangers of excessive caffeine.

In the end, despite the chaos, it was a day we would never forget. It brought us closer and strengthened our bond as a family.

And from that day forward, we were more careful with our coffee consumption, always remembering the caffeine frenzy that had once turned Norway feral.
