In the heart of the jungle, Sang Kancil, a clever little deer, was quenching his thirst at the river, enjoying the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Suddenly, the peace was disrupted by the arrival of a tiger. The tiger, with hunger in his eyes, announced his intention to eat Sang Kancil.

Sang Kancil knew he needed to think fast. Despite his swift feet, he was no match for the tiger's speed. He decided to play a trick on the tiger.

Sang Kancil addressed the tiger as 'king' and claimed that his own king was mightier than the tiger. Intrigued and challenged, the tiger demanded to meet this 'king'.

Sang Kancil pointed towards the river, telling the tiger that his king resided there. The tiger, filled with curiosity, peered into the water.

Fooled by his own reflection, the tiger saw another tiger in the water. He believed it to be the 'king' and jumped into the river to challenge him.

With the tiger distracted, Sang Kancil saw his chance. He swiftly ran away, leaving the tiger behind in the river.

The tiger soon realized that he had been fooled. There was no other tiger; it was merely his reflection in the water.

Humiliated and angry, the tiger roared in frustration. He had been outsmarted by the small, clever Sang Kancil.

Vowing revenge, the tiger began to chase Sang Kancil again. But Sang Kancil was long gone, hidden safely in the dense jungle.

From that day, the tiger continued his hunt for Sang Kancil. But no matter how hard he tried, Sang Kancil always managed to outsmart him.

And thus, the tale of Sang Kancil's clever escape became a legend in the jungle, a reminder of the power of wit over strength.
