A group of frogs were hopping through the woods, exploring the lush greenery. They chatted and croaked, enjoying their journey, unaware of the dangers lurking ahead.

Suddenly, two frogs from the group fell into a deep pit. They looked up in panic, seeing their friends peering down at them from the edge.

The trapped frogs tried to jump out of the pit but failed. The pit was too deep and their strength was not enough. Their efforts seemed futile.

The other frogs watched, their hearts filled with dread. They began to shout at the trapped frogs to stop trying, convinced they could never escape.

Eventually, one of the trapped frogs heeded the discouraging cries. The frog looked up one last time, then stopped jumping and fell down, lifeless.

The other frog, however, continued to jump, straining every muscle in its body. It ignored the hopeless cries from above, focusing only on the light at the top of the pit.

Despite its fatigue, the lone frog kept jumping, each leap a testament to its unwavering determination. Its eyes were fixed on the freedom that lay just beyond its reach.

With one final, Herculean leap, the frog managed to reach the top of the pit. Exhausted but triumphant, it hopped out and collapsed on the soft, welcoming ground.

The other frogs looked on in disbelief. They asked the triumphant frog, 'Did you not hear us?' The frog, panting heavily, looked at them with a puzzled expression.

The frog then explained that it was deaf, and had thought the others were cheering it on. The frogs were stunned by this revelation, their faces reflecting their regret.

They realized that their discouragement had cost the life of one friend, while the other had survived because of its determination. The forest echoed with their silence.

The frogs learned a valuable lesson that day. They understood the power of encouragement and the importance of never giving up, no matter how bleak the situation.
