Once upon a time in a small riverside village in Brazil lived a sweet, young girl named Maria. Maria loved to watch the playful river dolphins, especially one unusual pink one that caught her eye. This pink dolphin was different from others, it had a magical aura around it that drew Maria to it.

One day, the pink dolphin transformed into a handsome man right before Maria's eyes. He introduced himself as Boto, a magical being who lived in the river. Maria and Boto quickly became friends, spending their days talking, laughing, and playing by the river.

Their friendship didn't go unnoticed. A jealous suitor of Maria, named Paulo, saw Boto's transformation. Filled with jealousy, he decided to harm the dolphin and keep Maria all to himself.

One afternoon, Paulo waited for Boto to transform back into a dolphin and threw a net over him. Boto struggled, but he couldn't break free. Maria, who had been watching from afar, rushed to her friend's aid.

Maria bravely confronted Paulo, demanding him to let Boto go. Paulo refused, but Maria's courage and determination didn't waver. She stood her ground, staring Paulo down until he relented and released Boto.

Boto thanked Maria for her bravery and promised to always protect her in return. Maria, touched by his words, promised to visit him every day. And so, they continued their friendship, undeterred by the incident.

And as for Paulo, he learned a valuable lesson about jealousy and respect for others. He apologized to Maria and Boto and promised to never harm anyone out of jealousy again.
