There was a hungry fox searching for food in the forest. He looked around, but couldn't find anything to eat. Suddenly, he saw a crow flying overhead with a fine piece of cheese in her beak.

The fox's eyes brightened at the sight of the cheese. He quickly followed the crow, who had perched herself on a tree branch. The fox walked to the foot of the tree, looking up at the crow and the cheese.

The fox decided to use flattery to get the cheese. He complimented the crow, praising her beauty and her fine feathers. He then asked the crow to sing for him, hoping that she would drop the cheese.

The crow was flattered by the fox's compliments. She was so pleased that she forgot about the cheese in her beak. She opened her mouth wide to show the fox that she could sing.

As soon as the crow opened her beak, the piece of cheese fell to the ground. The fox was quick to pick it up. He couldn't hide his joy as he held the cheese in his paw.

The fox looked up at the crow and said, 'You foolish crow, never trust flattering words.' He then proceeded to eat the cheese, savoring every bite. The crow could only watch in disappointment.

After finishing the cheese, the fox ran away, laughing at his own cleverness. He had managed to trick the crow and get the cheese without having to hunt for it.

The crow sat on the branch, thinking about what had happened. She realized that she had been foolish to trust the fox's flattering words. She vowed to be more careful in the future.

The crow understood that not everyone who flatters you is your friend. Some might have ulterior motives. She learned a valuable lesson that day - to not be swayed by sweet words.

From that day on, the crow became more careful. She didn't let flattery blind her. She knew that it was better to be safe than sorry. She never let her guard down again.

Days passed, and life in the forest went on. The crow continued to live her life, but now she was smarter and wiser. She was more cautious and didn't trust flattering words so easily.

The fox's trickery had taught the crow a valuable lesson. It was a lesson she would remember for the rest of her life. And so, the story of the fox and the crow became a lesson for all in the forest.
