Lily lived in a small, peaceful town. She loved playing in the park with her friends, swinging on the swing set and chasing butterflies.

One sunny afternoon, Lily was playing with her friend, Molly. They were making sandcastles, their laughter echoing through the park.

Their play was interrupted by Tommy, a boy from their school. He knocked down their sandcastle, laughing as he ran away.

Molly was upset, but Lily comforted her, saying, 'We can always build another one, don't let Tommy ruin our fun.'

At dinner, Lily told her mother about the incident. Mrs. Bennett reminded Lily of the Golden Rule, 'Treat others how you want to be treated.'

'But what about Tommy, Mom? He was mean to us,' Lily asked. Her mother responded, 'Even more reason to be kind, Lily. Kindness can change hearts.'

The next day at school, Lily saw Tommy struggling to tie his shoelaces. Remembering her mother's words, she decided to help him.

Tommy was surprised by Lily's kindness, but he thanked her. Lily smiled and said, 'That's what friends do, Tommy.'

After school, Lily, Molly and Tommy went to the park. This time, instead of causing trouble, Tommy helped them build the biggest sandcastle ever.

They all laughed and played together, learning that kindness indeed changes hearts. The Golden Rule had brought them closer, turning a foe into a friend.

That night, Lily told her mom about her day. Mrs. Bennett was proud of Lily and said, 'Remember, living a godly life means showing love and kindness.'

As Lily drifted off to sleep, she thought about the day. She realized that treating others kindly not only made them happy but also filled her with joy.
