Once upon a time, during the long summer days, the grasshopper was joyfully playing his violin. The frog was singing melodiously to the grasshopper's tune, and the butterfly was dancing gracefully in the air. However, the ant was busy collecting food, preparing for the harsh winter.

As the summer faded into autumn, the leaves turned yellow and started falling. The air turned cold, and the ant warned the grasshopper, the frog, and the butterfly, about the impending winter. However, they were too busy with their activities to heed the ant's warning.

Winter arrived and the weather turned bitterly cold. It snowed heavily, forcing everyone to retreat to their homes. The ant, well-prepared, had enough food to last him the whole winter. He ate and slept comfortably in his warm abode.

Meanwhile, the grasshopper, the frog, and the butterfly were left without any food. One day, the hungry frog visited the grasshopper's house, hoping for some food. However, the grasshopper had nothing to offer as he too was starving.

The grasshopper suggested they visit the butterfly's house, but they found the butterfly too was in the same situation. With no other option, they decided to visit the ant's house, hoping for some kindness.

They found the ant sleeping comfortably in his warm house. They woke him up and pleaded for some food. The ant, being kind-hearted, offered them some food and warned them about the importance of preparing for the future.

The butterfly, the frog, and the grasshopper thanked the ant and promised to remember his advice. They realized the importance of hard work and preparation for the future. From then on, they too started preparing for winters during the summers.

The following summer, the ant noticed a change in their behavior. The grasshopper would play his violin for a while and then go collect food. The frog would sing a few songs and then help the grasshopper. The butterfly, too, would dance for a bit and then join them in their work.

When winter came, they were all prepared. The ant, the grasshopper, the frog, and the butterfly had enough food to last them the whole winter. They thanked the ant for his valuable advice and lived comfortably during the winter.

The ant smiled, glad that his friends had learned their lesson. They all understood the importance of preparing for the future and the value of hard work. They promised to always remember this lesson and prepared well for every winter henceforth.
