In the heart of the eucalyptus forest lived a young koala named Kenny. He was a curious fellow, always wondering about his short tail.

One day, Kenny approached Ella, the wise old kangaroo. 'Why is my tail so short compared to yours?' he asked, pointing at Ella's long tail.

'Long ago, all animals had no tails,' Ella began her story, sitting on the riverbank, 'and the king of the jungle decided to distribute tails to everyone.'

'The king ordered each animal to dive into the river and bring out a stone. The size of the stone would determine the length of their tail,' Ella continued.

'The Kangaroo dived deep and brought out a big stone, so he got a long tail. But the koala was scared of the deep water,' Ella went on.

'The koala waited until the water was shallow and brought out a small stone. So, he got a short tail,' Ella finished her story.

Kenny listened attentively, then looked at his short tail. 'But I like swimming and diving. Can I get a longer tail?' he asked.

'A tail doesn't define you, Kenny. It's how you use it that matters,' Ella replied, her eyes twinkling with wisdom.

Kenny thought about Ella's words as he climbed his favorite eucalyptus tree. From the top, he could see the entire forest.

'I may not have a long tail, but I can climb the highest tree and see the whole forest,' Kenny thought, smiling.

That night, under the starry sky, Kenny curled up in his tree hollow. He looked at his little tail and felt a sense of pride.

He realized that it wasn't about the size of his tail, but about his courage and determination. And with that, he fell into a peaceful sleep.
