There was a boy named John who was so lazy he couldn’t even change his clothes. He would spend his days lounging around, doing nothing. His mother would often scold him, but he just didn't care.

One hot summer day, John noticed the apple tree in their yard was full of juicy red apples. His mouth watered at the sight of them. However, he was too lazy to even think about climbing up to reach them.

So, he came up with a plan. He decided to lie down under the tree and wait for an apple to fall. "The tree will drop one sooner or later," he thought lazily.

Hours passed and the sun began to set, but no apples fell. John's stomach grumbled in hunger, but he was too stubborn to give up. He decided to wait a little longer.

Night came and the stars twinkled above him. John was cold and hungry, but he still lay there, hoping for an apple to fall. His stubbornness was starting to outweigh his laziness.

The next morning, John woke up to find his clothes damp from the morning dew. He was still hungry and there were still no apples on the ground. He sighed, realizing his plan had failed.

John finally decided to climb the tree. It was hard work and he was sweaty and tired by the time he reached the apples. But, when he tasted the juicy fruit, he realized it was all worth it.

From that day forward, John was not as lazy as before. He understood that if he wanted something, he had to work for it. His mother was pleased with the change in him.

John started helping his mother with the house chores and even took care of the apple tree, which provided him with delicious apples. The tree seemed to be happy with his change too, as it bore more fruits than before.

John’s story spread in his neighborhood and he became an example for other lazy children. They too learned that hard work always pays off and that being lazy won’t get them anywhere.

So, the once lazy boy named John turned into a hard-working young man, all thanks to an apple tree. The tree not only provided him with apples but also with a valuable life lesson.
