Once upon a time, in a small barn, there lived a little red hen. She was a bright, energetic hen who loved her barnyard friends. The barn was her home and the field was her playground.

Little Red Hen found a few grains of wheat one day. She was excited and thought of planting them in the field. But, she wasn't strong enough to do all the work alone.

She decided to ask her barnyard friends for help. The first friend she approached was a lazy dog who was always lounging in the sun.

"Will you help me plant these grains of wheat?" asked the Little Red Hen. But the Lazy Dog just yawned and said, "Not I". Disappointed, she moved on to her next friend.

The next friend she approached was a sleepy cat who was always stretching on the fence. "Will you help me plant these grains of wheat?" she asked. But the Sleepy Cat just yawned and said, "Not I".

She then went to the grumpy duck who was always wading in the pond. "Will you help me plant these grains of wheat?" she asked. But the Grumpy Duck just quacked and said, "Not I".

Disappointed but not defeated, the Little Red Hen decided to do all the work by herself. She dug up the earth, planted the grains, and watered them every day.

Days turned into weeks and the grains started to grow. They turned into beautiful wheat plants. The Little Red Hen was very happy to see her hard work paying off.

Soon, it was time to harvest the wheat. Again, she approached her friends for help. But just like before, the Lazy Dog, the Sleepy Cat, and the Grumpy Duck all said, "Not I".

So, the Little Red Hen harvested the wheat by herself. She then ground it into flour. It was hard work, but she did it all by herself.

Next, she decided to bake a loaf of bread with the flour. She asked her friends if they would help her with the baking. But they all said, "Not I".

So, the Little Red Hen baked the bread by herself. The delicious smell of fresh bread filled the barn. It was a big, beautiful loaf, golden and tempting.

When the bread was ready, she asked her friends, "Who will help me eat this bread?" The Lazy Dog, the Sleepy Cat, and the Grumpy Duck all said, "I will".

But the Little Red Hen said, "No, you did not help me plant the grains, harvest the wheat, grind it into flour, or bake the bread. I will eat it by myself."

And so, the Little Red Hen ate the bread all by herself. It was the most delicious bread she had ever eaten. She felt proud and happy for accomplishing all the work by herself.

The barnyard friends felt ashamed. They realized that they had been lazy and unhelpful. They decided to change their ways and help the Little Red Hen next time.

From that day forward, the Lazy Dog, the Sleepy Cat, and the Grumpy Duck started helping the Little Red Hen in all her tasks. They learned the value of teamwork and hard work.

The barn became a happier place. The Little Red Hen was no longer alone in her tasks. She was happy to have her friends by her side, working together.

The story of the Little Red Hen spread throughout the barnyard. All the animals learned the importance of helping each other and working together. The barnyard became a better place for everyone.

The Little Red Hen was proud of her friends. They had learned their lesson and had become better friends. She was happy to be a part of a team that worked together.

And so, the Little Red Hen continued to live happily with her friends in the barnyard. They worked together, played together, and enjoyed every day to the fullest.
