In Mannerville, lived a friendly and curious little girl named Lily. Eager to explore and learn, Lily often forgot to use her manners, especially when asking for things.

One sunny day, Lily's grandmother, Grandma Grace, came to visit. She noticed Lily's lack of manners and decided to teach her a valuable lesson.

"Lily, my dear," Grandma Grace began, "did you know that there are magic words that can make everyone around you feel happy and appreciated?" Lily's eyes sparkled with curiosity.

"Magic words? What are they, Grandma?" Grandma Grace smiled. "The magic words are 'please' and 'thank you.'" Lily decided to try using these magic words.

The next day, Lily went to the park with her friend Timmy. When she wanted to borrow his red kite, she remembered Grandma Grace's words and asked, "Timmy, may I please fly your kite?"

Timmy smiled and handed her the kite. After flying the kite, Lily returned it to Timmy and said, "Thank you, Timmy. That was so much fun!"

Lily continued to use the magic words throughout the day. At lunch, she asked her mom, "May I please have some more juice?" and later, she thanked her dad for helping her with homework.

In the evening, Lily sat with Grandma Grace and shared her experiences. "Grandma, you're right! 'Please' and 'thank you' are magic words. They make people happy and everything nicer."

Grandma Grace hugged Lily. "Yes, Lily, good manners are like magic. They show respect and kindness, and they help us build good relationships with others."

From then, Lily made it a habit to use her magic words everywhere she went. She became known in Mannerville for her good manners and friendly nature.
