Sarah loved spending her summers in the village with her grandmother. The nature, the stories, everything was magical.

One evening, Sarah's grandma decided to tell her a special story. Sarah's eyes sparkled with anticipation.

Grandma started, 'Once upon a time, there was a sower who went out to sow seeds.'

'The sower scattered the seeds. Some fell on the path, some on rocky ground, some among thorns, and some on good soil.'

'The seeds on the path were eaten by birds, those on the rocky ground and among thorns couldn't grow. But the seeds on the good soil grew into a bountiful harvest.'

Sarah listened attentively. 'What does it mean, Grandma?' Grandma smiled, 'The seeds are like the Word of God.'

'The path represents those who do not understand God's Word. The rocky ground represents those who hear but don't practice.'

'The thorns represent those who are distracted by life's worries. But the good soil represents those who hear, understand, and practice God's Word.'

Sarah thought for a while, then asked, 'How can I be the good soil, Grandma?' Grandma held her hand and said, 'By loving and living God's Word.'

Sarah nodded, 'I will try, Grandma.' Grandma smiled, 'That's all God asks of us, dear.'

Sarah went to bed that night with a new understanding. She knew she had to be the good soil for the seeds.

And so, Sarah promised herself to listen, understand, and practice God's Word, just like the seeds in the good soil.
