It was a bright, extraordinary day on Sodor. The air was filled with anticipation and excitement. Today was the day of a grand celebration - the 1000th anniversary of all the rescue teams around the world.

The Pontypandy fire brigade, the emergency dispatch rescue team, the Sodor search and rescue center, the paw patrol, and chug patrol were all going to be featured on a gigantic, spectacular billboard under Arlesburgh harbor.

But just when the photographer was about to take the picture, a cheeky little green bus named Rogi went right in front of the camera, blocking the entire view!

The photographer tried to see around Rogi, but it was impossible. He asked the little green bus to move, but Rogi just grinned cheekily, revving his engine.

Rogi felt a bit awkward in this situation. Even though he was a tour bus, he was not involved in rescue operations like the others. He felt like an odd one out.

The next day, Sir Topham Hatt asked Percy, the green engine, to pick up a large flatbed that was going to carry the billboard.

Rogi, who had been watching, thought of a naughty plan. He told Percy to go to the old quarry rather than the harbor. Unaware of the trick, Percy obeyed.

Meanwhile, the rescue teams were preparing for the big unveiling. They were all eagerly anticipating the grand reveal of their 1000th anniversary billboard.

Back at the quarry, Percy was getting a little scared. He wasn't used to being in such a desolate place, and the cawing of crows only made it worse.

Suddenly, Percy slipped on the wet tracks and splashed into the water. His firebox went out, leaving him stranded in the middle of the quarry.

Hearing the commotion, Rogi rushed to the quarry. He laughed when he saw Percy in the water, but his laughter quickly changed to concern as he realized Percy wasn't moving.

Without thinking, Rogi rushed towards Percy, but he skid on the wet ground and splashed into the water, too. Both Rogi and Percy were stuck now.

Back at the harbor, Sir Topham Hatt noticed Percy's absence. He knew something was wrong. Percy was always punctual. He quickly sent a search party for Percy and Rogi.

Meanwhile, stranded in the quarry, Rogi and Percy started to regret their actions. They wished they hadn't played tricks and landed themselves in such a predicament.

Just as the sun was setting, the rescue teams found them. The sight of their friends gave Rogi and Percy a relief. They knew they were going to be safe now.

It was a heroic effort. The rescue teams worked together to haul both Rogi and Percy out of the water. Everyone clapped and cheered as they brought them to safety.

Seeing the rescue teams in action made both Rogi and Percy realize how important their jobs were. They felt bad for causing such a confusion on this special day.

After cleaning up and drying off, Rogi and Percy apologized to everyone for their mischief. They promised to respect everyone's job and not play such pranks again.

Much to their surprise, instead of getting angry, everyone laughed. They told Rogi and Percy that it was a special day indeed – one they would never forget.

In the end, the billboard was unveiled to a round of applause. The rescue teams, Percy and Rogi stood proudly underneath it. This had turned out to be a memorable day after all.

Though it was not the celebration they had planned, it was one they would always remember. The day the rescue teams saved their own anniversary party.

From then on, Rogi became more respectful and aware of the important jobs others did. He learned a valuable lesson about respect and responsibility that he would never forget.

As for Percy, he learned never to blindly follow someone's advice without thinking it through. This experience had made him a wiser engine.

The rescue teams had a story to tell for their next 1000 years. They had turned a tricky situation into a triumphant day of rescue, adding to their legacy.

And so, on Sodor, the day ended with laughter and camaraderie. Everyone went back to their tasks, a little more appreciative of each other's jobs. What a day it had been!
