Once upon a time, in a small forest, lived a cute little Mouse. His favorite food was cheese and he always kept a large piece in his burrow. But one day, he woke up to find his cheese gone! He was very sad and his little heart thumped with worry.

In the next burrow lived his friend, a colorful Parrot. Seeing Mouse so upset, Parrot decided to help him. "Don't worry, Mouse," said Parrot, "We'll find your cheese." Mouse felt a little better, knowing he wasn't alone.

Parrot first offered Mouse a ripe banana. Mouse sniffed it and nibbled a little, but he didn't like it. "I want my cheese back," Mouse whimpered, his eyes welling up with tears.

Next, Parrot fetched a juicy apple from a nearby tree. Mouse took a small bite but shook his head. "It's not the same," he said, his voice shaking. The missing cheese weighed heavily on his little heart.

Trying to cheer Mouse up, Parrot brought a crunchy carrot. Mouse tasted it, but it didn't cheer him up. He just wanted his cheese back. He missed its creamy taste and soft texture.

Seeing Mouse so sad, Parrot gave him a comforting cuddle and a little peck on the cheek. Mouse felt a little bit better, but his eyes still searched for his missing cheese.

Suddenly, Mouse's tiny nose twitched. He could smell something familiar. "Cheese!" Mouse exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with hope. "I can smell my cheese!"

Parrot and Mouse followed the smell. It led them to a big tree, where a white Rabbit lived. "Is this where my cheese is?" Mouse asked, his voice trembling with excitement.

Rabbit looked at them, his eyes wide with surprise. "I'm sorry," he said, "I was lonely and wanted some friends. I thought if I took the cheese, you would come looking for it."

Mouse felt sorry for Rabbit. He realized that Rabbit didn't mean to upset him. "We can be your friends, Rabbit," Mouse said, offering a small smile.

Parrot agreed. "Yes, Rabbit. We can all be friends!" With that, they decided to have a big party to celebrate their new friendship.

They shared the cheese, the banana, the apple, and the carrot. Mouse enjoyed his cheese, but he also found the other foods tasty. He realized that he liked trying new things after all.

The party was filled with laughter and joy. Mouse, Parrot, and Rabbit became the best of friends. From that day on, they shared everything and lived happily in the small forest.

And so, Mouse learned that losing something could lead to gaining something even better - new friends! He was no longer sad about his missing cheese because he had found something priceless.

As for Rabbit, he learned that he didn't need to take things to make friends. All he needed was to be kind and friendly. And Parrot, well, he was just happy to see his friends happy!
