In this lively jungle, lived a playful monkey. He was known for his clever tricks and his love for fun. He was always swinging from one tree to another, enjoying his freedom.

Amongst the many animals in the jungle, there was a mighty lion, the king of the jungle. He was strong, fierce, and respected by all other animals.

One day, the monkey decided to play a prank on the lion. He was curious to see the lion's reaction. So, he thought of a clever plan.

The monkey climbed to the top of a tall tree, where the lion usually rested. He picked up a ripe fruit and threw it towards the lion.

The fruit hit the lion on his head. The lion woke up startled. The monkey was hiding behind the leaves, trying hard to suppress his laughter.

The lion looked around, trying to figure out what happened. Unable to find anything, he went back to sleep. The monkey was very pleased with his successful prank.

The next day, the monkey decided to repeat his prank. He climbed the same tree and threw another fruit at the lion.

This time, the lion was not sleeping. He saw the fruit coming and immediately looked up. He saw the monkey laughing at him from the tree.

The lion roared in anger and threatened to punish the monkey. But the monkey was not scared. He was confident that the lion could not reach him.

However, the lion was not to be outsmarted. He thought of a plan. He decided to pretend to be hurt and lure the monkey down.

The lion lay on the ground, pretending to be hurt. The monkey saw this and was worried. He thought his prank had gone too far.

The monkey decided to go down and check on the lion. But as soon as he got down, the lion pounced on him.

The monkey was shocked. He had not expected this. He tried to run away, but the lion was too fast for him.

Just when the lion was about to catch the monkey, the monkey jumped onto a vine and swung away. The lion was left behind, surprised and disappointed.

The monkey was relieved. He had narrowly escaped from the lion. He realized that he had taken his prank too far.

The monkey decided to apologize to the lion. He went back to the lion and said, 'I am sorry for my behavior. I promise I will not disturb you again.'

The lion was surprised to hear the monkey's apology. He thought for a moment and then said, 'I accept your apology. But remember, every action has a consequence.'

The monkey nodded in agreement. He had learned his lesson. From that day, he became more respectful towards the other animals in the jungle.

The lion and the monkey became friends. They started spending more time together. The monkey stopped playing pranks on others, and the lion became less stern.

The jungle became more peaceful and harmonious. All the animals lived happily, respecting each other's space and rights.

The story of the monkey and the lion became a legend in the jungle. It taught everyone the importance of respect and understanding.

And so, the monkey and the lion continued to live in the jungle, setting an example for all. Their story is a reminder that actions have consequences and that understanding and respect bring peace.
