Ginger was lying on her bed, her eyes wide open. She was afraid of the dark and couldn't sleep.

Her mother, Mrs. Layne, noticed her difficulty and decided to help her overcome her fear.

Seeing the room dark, Ginger started to whimper. Mrs. Layne sat beside her, gently holding her hand.

"Sweetie, there's nothing to be scared of," Mrs. Layne started, "The dark is just the absence of light, nothing more."

"But Mommy, what if something hides in the dark?" Gingerasked, her voice trembling slightly.

"Nothing can hide in our house without us knowing, Ginger. We are safe here," Mrs. Layne reassured her.

Ginger looked around the room, the darkness seemed less scary now. She asked, "Can I sleep with the lamp on?"

"Of course, sweetie," Mrs. Layne said, "The lamp will keep the room bright and warm."

With the comforting glow of the lamp, Ginger's fear started to fade. She felt more at ease now.

Mrs. Layne stayed with her until she fell asleep, her hand gently stroking Ginger's hair.

Ginger was no longer scared. She knew the darkness was nothing to fear, and the night lamp was there to comfort her.

Mrs. Layne kissed her goodnight, whispering, "Sweet dreams, my brave girl."

Ginger woke up the next morning feeling proud. She had slept through the night without being afraid.

She ran to Mrs. Layne , excitedly telling her about the night. Mrs. Layne smiled, proud of her brave little girl.

The night came again. But this time, Ginger was not scared. She knew the night lamp was there to keep her company.

Mrs. Layne tucked her into bed, saying, "You're a brave girl, Ginger . I'm proud of you."

Ginger closed her eyes, the soft glow of the lamp soothing her. She fell asleep without any fear.

Mrs. Layne watched her sleep, a content smile on her face. Her little girl had overcome her fear.

The next morning, Ginger woke up refreshed. She had conquered her fear and now she felt invincible.

She hugged Mrs. Layne tightly, saying, "Thank you, Mommy. I'm not scared of the dark anymore."

Mrs. Layne hugged her back, saying, "I'm proud of you, Ginger. You're my brave little girl."

From that day on, Ginger was never afraid of the dark. She had her night lamp and her brave heart to keep her safe.
