The young pony was tasked with a very important job - to deliver a bag of grains to the other side of the river. The pony stood at the edge of the river, pondering its depth.

Suddenly, an old bull approached the pony. 'The river is too deep,' he advised. 'You should find a bridge to cross it.' The pony listened carefully, considering the bull's advice.

Just then, a squirrel from a nearby tree chirped in. 'Nonsense!' it squeaked. 'The river is shallow. You can easily wade through it.' The pony was now confused with the conflicting advice.

The pony was in a dilemma. Should it listen to the old bull, who seemed wise and experienced? Or should it follow the advice of the squirrel who was familiar with the terrain? The pony was unsure.

Then, it remembered the words of its mother, 'When in doubt, trust yourself.' The pony decided to test the depth of the river itself rather than relying on others.

The pony stepped into the river, its heart pounding with fear and excitement. The water was cold, but the pony was determined to complete its task.

As it waded further, the pony realized the river was indeed deep, but not as deep as it had feared. The water level reached up to its belly, but it was manageable.

With every step, the pony gained more confidence. It was proving both the bull and the squirrel wrong. The river was neither too deep nor too shallow, it was just right for the pony.

Finally, the pony reached the other side of the river. It was relieved and proud of its achievement. The grains were still safe in its bag, thanks to its courage and determination.

The pony looked back at the river, realizing it had learned an important lesson. It understood the value of personal experience and the importance of trusting oneself.

With renewed confidence, the pony continued its journey, ready to face any challenges that might come its way. It knew it could always rely on its instincts when in doubt.
