In a small cozy cottage lived a mother goat with her seven playful kids. She loved them dearly and always protected them from danger.

One day, Mother Goat had to leave the cottage to gather food. She gathered her kids and said, 'Stay inside and lock the door. Never open the door for anyone until I return.'

In the nearby forest, a cunning wolf watched the mother goat leave. He licked his lips, thinking about the seven little goats alone in the cottage.

The wolf approached the cottage, disguising his voice to sound like the mother goat. 'Open the door, my dear ones,' he called out, 'Mother is back with food.'

The goats, however, recognized the wolf's gruff voice and refused to open the door. Angry and frustrated, the wolf retreated to the forest to devise a new plan.

In his lair, the wolf thought of a new plan. He swallowed honey to soften his voice and dusted his paws with flour to make them look like the mother goat's.

The wolf returned to the cottage, this time with a sweet voice and white paws. Fooled by his disguise, the innocent goats opened the door, only to be gobbled up by the wolf.

Mother Goat returned home, only to find the door wide open and her kids missing. She was devastated and began searching for her little ones.

After a long search, she found the wolf, sleeping peacefully with a full belly. She noticed a slight movement in his stomach and realized her kids were still alive.

Quickly, Mother Goat fetched a pair of scissors and cut open the wolf's belly. One by one, all her kids jumped out, unhurt and overjoyed to see their mother.

They filled the wolf's belly with heavy stones and sewed it back. When the wolf woke up, he couldn't move due to the weight and soon met his end.

Mother Goat and her kids lived happily ever after, always remembering the lesson to never trust a stranger, no matter how friendly they might seem.
