Beverley greeted her students with a smile, 'Good morning, Luna, Mila, Abdul-Qadir, Eli, Olumiyo, and Melokuhle.'

'Today we're going to learn about winter clothing. Can anyone tell me why we need to wear warm clothes in winter?' Beverley asked.

'Because it's cold outside!' responded Luna. 'Right, Luna,' Beverley replied, 'And these clothes help us stay warm.'

Beverley picked up a fluffy jacket, 'This is a winter jacket. It keeps our body warm.' The children watched with interest.

'And these,' she continued, picking up a pair of mittens, 'are to keep our hands warm.' Eli giggled, 'They look like bear paws!'

Beverley then showed a woolen hat, 'This keeps our head and ears warm. Do you like this hat, Mila?' Mila nodded enthusiastically.

'And finally, these boots keep our feet dry and warm. Right, Melokuhle?' Melokuhle clapped his hands in agreement.

Abdul-Qadir and Olumiyo tried on some of the winter clothing. 'You both look ready for the snow!' Beverley exclaimed.

The children spent the rest of the day playing pretend winter games in their warm clothes. They laughed and had fun.

Beverley watched them play, satisfied that they had learned about winter clothing. 'Remember to wear these when it's cold!' she reminded them.

'We will, Beverley!' they chorused. As they left for the day, they waved goodbye, mittens and all, to their beloved teacher.

That night, as snow fell softly outside, six children slept soundly, dreaming of winter games and warm clothes.
