In a small village, there lived two trees named Raja and Kumar. Raja was a tall and proud tree that loved to boast about his height and strength. Kumar, on the other hand, was a humble tree that prioritized developing strong roots and providing shade to the villagers.

The villagers often sat under Kumar's shade during the day, enjoying the cool breeze. Raja, towering above Kumar, always mocked him for his short stature and lack of grandeur.

One day, a fierce storm hit the village. The winds howled, and the rain poured down. The villagers hid in their homes, fearing the storm's wrath. Raja, confident in his height and strength, stood tall, facing the storm head-on.

Kumar, on the other hand, was not as tall or strong as Raja but had deep, strong roots. He too faced the storm but with humility, bending and flexing with the wind, showing his resilience.

When the storm subsided, the villagers came out of their homes. They were shocked to see Raja uprooted and lying on the ground, his leaves scattered all around. The tall and proud tree was no more.

Kumar, however, had survived the storm. He was still standing, his branches swaying gently in the breeze. The villagers were amazed at how the humble tree had weathered the storm when the mighty Raja had not.

The villagers asked Kumar, 'How did you survive the storm?' The tree replied, 'My strong roots and flexibility saved me. I may not be as tall or as strong as Raja, but my humility and focus on inner strength helped me withstand the storm.'

Raja, lying on the ground, heard Kumar's words. He realized that his pride and focus on external appearance had made him weak, while Kumar's humility and focus on inner strength had made him resilient.

Weeks passed, and Raja's fallen trunk served as a constant reminder of the storm. The villagers often gathered around Kumar, the tree that had withstood the storm and provided them shade and comfort.

Kumar continued to grow, his branches reaching out to the sky and his roots digging deeper into the earth. He remained humble, never boasting about his strength or survival, always reminding the villagers about the importance of inner strength and humility.

Raja, from his fallen position, watched Kumar grow and thrive. He understood the importance of humility and inner strength, wishing he had realized it earlier. The villagers learned a valuable lesson from the tale of the two trees.

The moral of the story is that true strength lies not in external appearances but in inner character and humility. By focusing on developing our inner qualities, we can weather life's storms and remain standing tall, just like Kumar.
