Phillip the giraffe was a tall and majestic creature. His long neck helped him reach the highest branches of the Acacia trees. But there was one thing Phillip couldn't do - reach the fresh, green leaves that grew on the low branches.

Chloe the elephant was sweet and petite. She was smaller than the other elephants in her herd. Chloe had a similar problem to Phillip - she wanted the dry, crunchy leaves from the treetops, but they were always out of her reach.

One sunny day, Phillip and Chloe happened to be eating from the same tree. Phillip was munching on the high, dry leaves while Chloe was eating the green leaves close to the ground.

Phillip noticed Chloe struggling to reach the higher leaves. He thought of how he could use his long neck to help her. At the same time, Chloe saw Phillip straining to bend low for the green leaves.

They looked at each other and had the same idea. Chloe trumpeted with excitement as Phillip shook the tree and the dry leaves fell. Phillip’s eyes gleamed when Chloe started pulling the green leaves for him and passing them up to him.
