Once upon a time, there was a crow who lived in a forest near a town. The crow was weary from his travels and he was extremely thirsty. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to find any source of water.

The crow began to feel weaker due to the absence of water. He began his search for water, flying all around the jungle and the nearby town. After scouring the town, he spotted a house.

The crow thought there must be water inside the house. Upon reaching the house, he found a pot full of water. He was ecstatic at the sight, but the water level in the pot was too low for him to reach.

The crow pondered over his predicament. An idea struck him, "If I throw some pebbles into the pot, the water level will rise and I will be able to drink."

The crow started his hunt for pebbles. He found some pebbles lying nearby. He flew to the pebbles, picked one up with his beak, and returned to the pot.

He dropped the pebble into the pot, and the water level rose a bit. He continued this process, dropping one pebble at a time. But he still couldn't reach the water with his beak.

The crow didn't lose heart. He kept flying back and forth, picking up pebbles and dropping them into the pot. After several attempts, the water level still hadn't risen enough for him to drink.

Even though he was growing weaker and more parched, he didn't give up. He continued the process for almost an hour. And finally, his perseverance paid off. The water level had risen to the rim of the pot.

The crow was overjoyed. He quickly dipped his beak into the pot and started drinking the water. He drank to his fill, quenching his intense thirst.

After quenching his own thirst, the crow thought of the other thirsty birds in the forest. He invited them to come and drink from the pot. Many birds came to quench their thirst.

They all thanked the kind-hearted crow and flew away, their thirst satisfied. The crow was happy that he was able to help his fellow birds. This made him feel even more content.
