One day, the son, filled with curiosity, turned to his father, asking, 'Father, what is my life worth?'

The father, wise and patient, gave his son a stone and said, 'My son, if you want to know the value of your life, take this stone and go to the market. If someone asks you for the price, stay quiet and hold up two fingers.'

He said that an old woman in the market offered two dollars for the stone. The father listened and then advised his son to take the stone to the museum. After some time, an old woman approached the boy and asked, 'How much is this stone worth?' The boy remained silent and raised two fingers. The woman said, 'Two dollars' and tried to pay.

A man in a suit and tie approached the boy, asking, 'Sir, how much is this stone cost?' The boy remained silent and raised two fingers. The man offered two hundred dollars.

Fearful, the boy informed his father that the man at the museum wanted to buy the stone for two hundred dollars. The father then sent him to a stone market.

An old man behind the counter saw the stone and exclaimed, 'My God, I have been looking for this stone all my life. What do you want for it?' The boy raised two fingers.

The boy was shocked when the old man offered him $20,000 for the stone. He quickly returned to his father and shared the incident.

With a smile, the father replied, 'Look, son, someone who knows the value of a stone has offered you the highest amount because he recognizes it's true worth.'
