Kevin Stewart, his forehead beading with sweat, was flipping burgers on the barbecue. The scent of sizzling meat filled the air, mingling with the faint scent of chlorine from the nearby swimming pool.

His roommates, Momo Kawashima and Miho Nishizumi, were sun-bathing by the poolside. They wore bright bikinis, their skin glistening with sunscreen, soaking up the summer sun.

Kevin's friends, Yoshika Miyafuji and Akeno Misaki, arrived just as he was about to flip the last burger. They greeted everyone cheerfully, adding more life to the sunny afternoon.

As Kevin talked with Yoshika and Akeno, a distinct smell of burning meat filled the air. Momo, noticing the change in aroma, quickly pointed out to Kevin, "Hey big man, the food is on fire."
