It all started with a simple mistake. Tom, a 10-year-old boy, was too hungry to wait for his mother to finish cooking dinner. He saw a can on the kitchen counter and assumed it was some leftover stew.

He opened the can and began eating. It tasted strange, but he was too hungry to care. After finishing the entire can, he noticed the label - it was dog food.

As the hours passed, he started feeling weird, his senses becoming sharper, his hearing and smell intensifying. Tom brushed it off as his imagination running wild.

The next day, he woke up with a fuzzy feeling. His voice sounded strange, his vision was different, and his body felt odd. He looked in the mirror and saw fur growing on his face.

His parents were shocked and took him to the doctor, who was equally baffled. By the end of the day, Tom had completely transformed into a dog.

Despite the drastic change, his parents loved him no less. They cared for him, fed him and made sure he was comfortable in his new form.

Tom tried to communicate with them, but all that came out were barks and whines. His parents, interpreting this as bad behavior, decided to hire a dog trainer.

The dog trainer was an old, stern man named Mr. Barkley. He saw Tom's attempts to communicate as disobedience and decided to 'correct' him.

He implanted the command, 'Be a good boy,' in Tom. The command was so strong that it silenced his human consciousness, pushing it to the back of his mind.

Tom tried to resist, but the command was too strong. He started behaving like a perfect dog, obeying every order, and not making a fuss.

His parents were delighted with his behavior, unaware of the internal struggle Tom was going through. He was trapped in his own mind, unable to communicate or express himself.

His life was now a series of commands, and he was a good boy. He ate when he was told, played when he was told, and slept when he was told.

His days were filled with fetch, walks, and meals. His nights were filled with dreams of running free, of speaking, of being human again.

He missed school, his friends, and the simple pleasure of being able to express himself. He missed his old life but had no way of getting it back.

His parents noticed his sad eyes and tried to cheer him up with toys and treats, but they couldn't reach the boy trapped inside the dog.

As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Tom's hope of ever returning to his old life began to fade. He was a good boy, but he wasn't Tom anymore.

He slowly accepted his fate and tried to make the best of his new life. He learned to find joy in the simple pleasures of a dog's life.

He enjoyed the wind in his fur during walks, the taste of treats, the comfort of his parents' lap, and the companionship of other dogs.

But there were moments, usually late at night, when he would look up at the moon and howl, a desperate cry from the boy trapped inside the dog.

His parents would come and comfort him, thinking he was just being a dog. But Tom was screaming, trying to tell them that he was still there, still their son.

But his screams were unheard, his cries misunderstood. He was a good boy, and that's all they saw.

Tom spent the rest of his life as a dog. He was a good boy, always obedient, always well-behaved. But inside, he was still a boy, still Tom.

His parents loved him till the end, treating him with the same affection and care as they had when he was a boy. They never knew about the silent scream within their good boy.

The boy who became a good boy lived a life of obedience, a life that wasn't his own. He was loved, cared for, and cherished, but never truly understood.

His story is a reminder of the power of love and acceptance, but also of the importance of understanding and communication. If only they had listened, if only they had understood.

But life is not always fair, and Tom learned that in the hardest way possible. He was a good boy, but he was also a boy, a fact that was forgotten in his transformation.

So, the next time you see a dog, remember Tom. Remember the boy who became a good boy and treat every creature with the understanding and love they deserve.
