With their combined strength and determination, Mario and Fox McCloud defeated Ganondorf, breaking the curse and freeing Zelda. The castle returned to its former glory, and Zelda thanked her rescuers.

Grateful for their bravery, Zelda used her magic to transport Mario and Fox McCloud back to their homes. The two heroes bid each other farewell, promising to meet again in another adventure.
