It was a time of darkness in Avalon, as Mad King Arthur had lost his senses and summoned an army from the underworld. The once noble and just ruler was no more.

The knights of the round table, led by Sir Lancelot, gathered to discuss their plan of action. They knew that their loyalty to Avalon surpassed their ties to Arthur.

"We must stop Arthur and his underworld army," Lancelot said, determination flashing in his eyes. "Our allegiance is to Avalon, and we must save it at all costs."

The knights agreed, knowing the journey ahead would be perilous. They prepared for battle, each knight praying to their patron saints for protection and victory.

They set out at dawn, the sun casting long shadows over their armored figures. Their destination was the castle, where the Mad King Arthur resided.

As they approached the castle, the air grew cold and heavy with dread. The castle, once a symbol of hope, now stood as a foreboding fortress.

Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath them. From the castle's gates, the underworld army emerged, their numbers vast and their forms terrifying.

The knights stood their ground, their hearts filled with courage. With Lancelot leading, they charged, their battle cries echoing through the field.

The battle was fierce, the knights fighting with unmatched bravery. Yet, the underworld army was relentless, their numbers seemingly endless.

Amidst the chaos, Lancelot spotted Arthur standing atop the castle walls. He was watching the battle, an eerie smile on his mad face.

Lancelot fought his way through, determined to reach the Mad King. He knew that defeating Arthur was the only way to end the onslaught.

As he reached the castle's entrance, a monstrous creature blocked his path. It was one of Arthur's underworld generals, a sight to behold.

With a swift strike, Lancelot engaged the creature. The general was tough, but Lancelot was relentless, his determination unyielding.

Finally, with a powerful blow, Lancelot defeated the general. With his path clear, he made his way to the Mad King.

As he approached Arthur, Lancelot saw the madness in his former king's eyes. "Arthur," he said, "you must end this madness!"

But Arthur only laughed, his sanity long lost. With a swift move, he attacked Lancelot, the two engaging in a deadly duel.

The fight was intense, the two former allies clashing with fury and regret. Despite his madness, Arthur was still a formidable opponent.

Yet, Lancelot remained resolute. He fought with all his might, determined to save Avalon from the madness that had taken its king.

In a final clash, Lancelot struck Arthur down. The Mad King's laughter echoed through the castle, then slowly faded into silence.

With Arthur's defeat, the underworld army crumbled, their forms dissolving into the ground. The knights cheered, their mission accomplished.

Lancelot looked at the fallen king, sadness in his eyes. "You were a great king, Arthur," he said, "may you find peace now."

With the battle over, the knights of the round table returned to Avalon. They were hailed as heroes, the saviors of their home.

The kingdom mourned the loss of their king, but they also celebrated their victory. The darkness that had clouded Avalon was finally gone.

Avalon began to heal, the people rebuilding their lives. They knew that they owed their freedom to the knights of the round table.

Lancelot stood by the round table, his heart heavy yet full of hope. "For Avalon," he whispered, his gaze on the rising sun.

And so, the tale of the Battle for Avalon was told. The bravery of the knights, the madness of the king, and the salvation of Avalon.

The story served as a reminder of their past and a beacon for their future. A story of courage, sacrifice, and undying loyalty to their home.

The knights of the round table would always be remembered, their names etched in the annals of Avalon's history. Their legacy would live on, as would their tale.

And though Arthur had fallen into madness, his reign of justice and peace would not be forgotten. Avalon would remember their king, both his greatness and his fall.

The Battle for Avalon was over, but its story would endure. A tale of knights, a mad king, and the undying spirit of Avalon.
