John, a man of deep despair, found himself soaring in the vast, infinite sky, guided by the whims of the wind. The ground below seemed like a distant memory, his life, a faded dream.

The higher he went, the colder it became. His heart, however, remained unaffected by the chill. It was frozen in grief, hardened by loss. His mind was set on embracing the end.

Suddenly, he felt a jolt. His free fall reversed, as if pulled by an unseen force. His heart pounded in his chest. Fear, after a long absence, made its presence known.

As he neared the ground, he closed his eyes, ready to meet his fate. But instead of the expected impact, he felt a gentle tug on his hand. His descent was arrested.

Opening his eyes, he saw a radiant figure, a goddess, hovering before him. She was ethereal, her beauty transcending human understanding. Her eyes were full of love.

The goddess held his hand tightly, a warm smile playing on her lips. "I love you, John," she whispered, her voice echoing in the silent sky. A sense of familiarity washed over him.

Her words, her voice, they struck a chord within him. His heart pounded in his chest, not out of fear but recognition. He looked at her again, really looked, and gasped.

The goddess was his ex, the love of his life, the woman he had lost. Her death had left him shattered, and he had yearned to join her ever since. But not like this.

With a swift movement, he jerked his hand away from hers. The suddenness of his action shocked her, and he fell again, this time towards the ground.

But he wasn't afraid. He embraced the fall, the wind rushing past his face, the ground inching closer. He was ready to die, ready to let go.

However, the goddess wouldn't allow it. She swooped down, caught him in her arms, and whisked him away from the impending doom. He struggled, but her grip was firm.

"Why won't you let me die?" John screamed, his voice hoarse. The goddess looked at him, her eyes brimming with tears. "Because I love you, John," she replied.

John was taken aback by her words. He looked into her eyes and saw the sincerity in them. He felt her love, her longing, her pain. It was as real as his own.

But he was scared. Scared of this new life, this second chance. Scared of the goddess, his ex, the woman he loved. Scared of the unknown.

Seeing his fear, the goddess took his face in her hands. "I'm here, John. I'm here with you. You're not alone," she said, her voice filled with conviction.

John could feel her warmth seeping into him, melting the ice that had surrounded his heart. He looked at her, his ex, his goddess, and slowly, he nodded.

With that, they ascended, leaving the world behind. The wind whispered promises of a new beginning as they disappeared into the horizon. And for the first time in a long while, John smiled.

As they journeyed through the skies, John felt a sense of peace. The goddess held him close, her presence a comforting balm to his wounded soul. He felt her love enveloping him.

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months. John began to accept his new life, his new existence. He learned to embrace the love of the goddess, his ex, his savior.

The goddess, too, was changed. She was no longer just a celestial figure. She was his partner, his guide, his love. And in her, he found his home.

Together, they explored the infinite sky, creating memories, weaving dreams. Their love grew stronger with every passing moment, their bond unbreakable. They were two souls intertwined, bound by love.

John's despair was replaced by joy, his grief by love. He had found his purpose, his reason to live. And it was with the goddess, his ex, his love.

He had a second chance at life, a second chance at love. And this time, he wasn't going to let go. He was going to cherish every moment, every second.

The goddess's kiss was his salvation, her love his redemption. She had saved him from the brink of despair, given him a new lease on life. He was forever grateful.

As they floated in the sky, John turned to the goddess. "I love you," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. The goddess smiled, her eyes shining with love. "I love you too, John."
