In a hidden corner of the world, a beautiful maiden lived with a group of dwarves. They were miners by profession and every morning, they would leave for the mines, returning only in the evening.

The maiden was known for her beauty, which ignited envy in the heart of the queen. The queen, unable to bear her jealousy, decided to kill the beautiful maiden.

The queen disguised herself as a peddler, making her way to the cottage when the dwarves were away. She offered the maiden a beautiful silk belt, which the maiden could not resist.

As the maiden turned around, the disguised queen tied the belt tightly around her waist. The maiden gasped for air and collapsed, appearing lifeless.

When the dwarves returned in the evening, they found the maiden unconscious. They quickly cut the belt, and as if by a miracle, the maiden started breathing again.

The queen, learning of her failed attempt, disguised herself as a different peddler the next day. This time, she sold the maiden a beautifully crafted comb, which was poisoned.

The moment the comb touched the maiden's hair, she collapsed. Her eyes closed, her breathing stopped, and once again, she seemed lifeless.

The dwarves came home to the same horrifying sight. They removed the comb and the maiden woke up, much to their relief.

The third day, the queen tried something different. She poisoned the forest flowers and left them near the maiden's window. The maiden fell dead inhaling the scent.

This time, the dwarves were unable to identify what had killed the maiden. They were heartbroken and decided to carry her to the forest for burial.

As they carried her through the forest, they tripped and the maiden fell into a stream. The water washed away the poison and when they pulled her out, she was breathing.

The maiden, having narrowly escaped death three times, realized the danger she was in. She decided to find a way to protect herself from the jealous queen.

The maiden and the dwarves devised a plan. They decided to set a trap for the queen, using the maiden as bait.

The queen, unaware of their plan, disguised herself again and approached the cottage. This time, she brought a poisoned apple.

The maiden pretended to be alone and accepted the apple. As she took a bite, she pretended to fall dead. The queen, thinking she had finally succeeded, laughed victoriously.

Just as the queen was about to leave, the dwarves emerged from hiding and captured her. They revealed her true identity and her evil intentions.

The queen was taken by surprise. She tried to escape, but the dwarves were too quick for her. She was trapped and her plot was exposed.

The maiden woke up and confronted the queen. The queen, realizing she had been defeated, begged for mercy.

The dwarves took the queen to the king. He was horrified to learn of his wife's deeds and banished her from the kingdom forever.

The maiden was hailed as a hero. She was praised for her bravery and strength. She thanked the dwarves, acknowledging that she owed her life to them.

The king, moved by the maiden's story, offered her a place in the castle. However, she chose to stay with the dwarves, considering them her true family.

The maiden continued to live with the dwarves. They were happy and content, knowing they were safe from the queen's envy. Their bond became stronger than ever.

The maiden's beauty shone brighter than ever, but this time, it was her inner strength that truly defined her. She was no longer just a beautiful maiden, but a brave and strong woman.

The dwarves continued to protect the maiden, and she, in turn, took care of them. Together, they faced every challenge, becoming a symbol of unity and love.

Their tale of courage and friendship spread throughout the kingdom, inspiring many. The maiden and the dwarves lived happily, unbothered by the jealousy and malice of the outside world.

From being a target of envy, the maiden became a beacon of hope. Her story proved that true strength lies not in physical beauty, but in the courage to face adversities and the love that binds us together.

The story of the maiden and the poisoned gifts became a legend, a tale of strength, resilience, and the power of friendship. The maiden's name lived on, her tale continuing to inspire generations.
