In Berbanya, King Don Fernando fell ill after a dream. His three sons, Don Pedro, Don Diego, and Don Juan, are told about the magical Ibong Adarna bird, the only cure for their father.

Don Pedro and Don Diego embarked on a mission to capture the bird but failed, turning into stone. Three years later, Don Juan insisted on finding the bird himself.

On his journey, Don Juan met a wise hermit who gave him a knife, limes, and a golden string, enabling him to capture the Ibong Adarna and free his brothers from the spell.

However, jealous and deceitful, Don Pedro and Don Diego beat Don Juan unconscious, took the bird, and presented it to the king. But the bird refused to sing until Don Juan returned.

Fearing blame for the bird's escape, Don Juan left for Armenia. There, he rescued Princesses Juana and Leonora from a seven-headed serpent and a giant, only to be betrayed by his brothers again.

Leonora's pet wolf saved Don Juan from the well, and they returned to Berbanya. There, Don Diego married Juana while Leonora delayed her marriage to Don Pedro.

Informed by the Ibong Adarna about Princess Maria Blanca of Delos Cristal, Don Juan set off on a new quest. He found her with the help of an eagle and old hermits.

Despite King Salermo's curse, Don Juan married Maria after accomplishing difficult tasks with her magical aid. He then forgot Maria as they returned to Berbanya due to the curse.

In Berbanya, Maria reminded Juan of their love through a game, and he remembered her. They married, and Leonora married Pedro, while Don Juan and Maria returned to Delos Cristal.

Don Juan and Maria became beloved rulers of Delos Cristal, marking the end of their adventurous journey.
