In a tranquil monastery nestled within the serene mountains of Japan, there lived a wise monk named Master Hiroshi. One day, a young monk named Kaito approached Master Hiroshi with a troubled heart.

'Master,' Kaito began, 'I have heard that true wisdom lies in knowing what to share and what to keep private. But I am confused. What are the things one should keep to themselves?'

Master Hiroshi smiled gently and motioned for Kaito to follow him. They walked silently through the monastery gardens until they reached a secluded spot under a cherry blossom tree.

The master sat down, inviting Kaito to join him. 'Let me tell you a story,' Master Hiroshi said. 'A story of five secrets that a wise person keeps private.'

1. Personal Goals and Plans - 'There was once a young man named Jiro who dreamed of building a beautiful garden. He shared his plans with everyone he met.'

Master Hiroshi continued, 'Some people praised him, while others mocked him. This affected Jiro deeply. It either inflated his ego or filled him with self-doubt.'

'Jiro soon realized that not everyone had his best interests at heart. So, he decided to keep his plans to himself and work silently towards his goals.'

2. Personal Struggles - 'Another secret to keep is your personal struggles. Sharing them with the wrong people might lead to gossip rather than support.'

Master Hiroshi shared the story of a woman named Miko. 'Miko was going through a tough time. When she shared her struggles, people used them to belittle her.'

Kaito listened intently as Master Hiroshi continued, 'Miko learned to keep her struggles to herself, focusing on overcoming them rather than seeking validation from others.'

3. Acts of Kindness - 'The third secret is your acts of kindness. Doing good deeds is noble but boasting about them dilutes the sincerity of the act.'

'Remember, Kaito,' Master Hiroshi concluded, 'True wisdom lies in knowing what to share and what to keep private. This understanding will guide you on your path.'
