Once upon a time, in a small town named Serenity, there lived a little girl named Emily. Emily was an only child and often found herself alone. One day, she came across a charming doll in an antique shop. The doll was so beautiful that Emily couldn't resist taking it home.

The doll was dressed in a Victorian era dress, with glossy black hair, deep blue eyes and a smile that was both sweet and eerie. Emily named her Violet and they quickly became inseparable.

As Emily spent more time with Violet, she began noticing strange things. Violet's eyes seemed to follow her around the room, and her smile seemed to shift when no one was looking. At first, Emily shrugged it off as her imagination.

However, as the days passed, the occurrences became more frequent and unsettling. Emily would wake up in the middle of the night to find Violet sitting at the edge of her bed, staring at her. Emily was beginning to feel frightened.

One day, Emily's parents found her trying to cut her own hair. When they asked why, Emily said Violet told her to. This was when they realized something was gravely wrong.

Emily's parents were at a loss. They didn't know whether to believe Emily or not. However, they decided it was best to remove Violet from Emily's room, just in case. But Emily was distraught without Violet.

One night, Emily's mother woke up to a strange noise. She went to Emily's room to find Violet back on Emily's bed. Emily claimed that Violet had come back on her own. Her mother was terrified.

Emily's parents decided to seek help. They contacted a local priest who agreed to come over to their house. He suspected that the doll was cursed. He advised them to get rid of it as soon as possible.

But Emily didn't want to let go of Violet. She protested and cried, pleading with her parents to let her keep the doll. Emily's parents felt helpless seeing their daughter in such distress.

Emily decided to take matters into her own hands. She knew she had to confront Violet and break the curse that was causing so much trouble. She was scared, but she knew it was the only way.

She took Violet and sat in front of her. She told Violet that she didn't want to hurt anyone anymore and that she wanted Violet to leave her alone. To Emily's surprise, Violet's eyes began to glow.

Suddenly, Emily felt a rush of energy. She was scared but stood her ground. She repeated her words, this time with more conviction. With each word, Violet's glow dimmed, until it finally went out.

Emily felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew she had broken the curse. From that day on, Violet was just a doll. Emily's life went back to normal and she was finally at peace.
