Yuki laid on the creaking wooden floor, panting heavily. The old, once grand study room was now her cramped sanctuary. She could hear the menacing growls of ghouls echoing from behind the barricaded door.

Each contraction was more painful than the last. She felt a pressure building, the urge to push was almost unbearable. But she was a survivor, gritting her teeth, stifling a scream.

The mansion creaked ominously around her. The room was shrouded in shadows, dimly lit by a single candle that was nearly extinguished, casting eerie shapes against walls lined with dusty old books.

The door shuddered under the relentless onslaught of the ghouls, wood splintering. Yuki's heart raced. The threat was closing in, and she knew she must flee or face them.

Refusing to give in, Yuki tugged at the edge of the window, wincing as another round of contractions tore through her. Her escape route was barely wide enough, but she had to try.

With a final desperate tug, the window groaned open. Rain and wind whipped around Yuki as she felt the first shudder of the door giving way. It was now or never.

Yuki began the arduous climb out the window, her swollen belly making the task nearly impossible. As she inched closer to safety, the door finally burst open, revealing the grotesque ghouls.

The ghouls were a terrifying sight, their cracked bloody skin glowing ominously under the dying candlelight. Their gleaming red eyes locked onto Yuki, a hideous grin spreading across their gaunt faces.

A shriek tore from Yuki's lips as she hauled herself up and out, with mere seconds to spare. To her horror, her black pants snagged, trapping her firstborn child within them.

Panic surged as Yuki battled to free herself. The ghouls lurched towards her, their elongated fingers stretching out. She could feel the heat of their fetid breath even from her precariously perched position.

Mustering all her remaining strength, Yuki tore at her pants, freeing herself. She emitted a triumphant cry as she dropped from the third floor, landing on a soft patch of weeds.

Yuki laid gasping for breath, pain and relief mingling. Her triplets continued their acrobatics inside her, oblivious to their mother's ordeal. Above her, the furious howls of the ghouls filled the night.

Despite the aching pain, Yuki slowly pushed herself up on trembling arms. She had escaped one danger but the night was far from over. She knew she had to keep moving.

Adjusting her torn pants, Yuki staggered to her feet. Eyes scanning the surrounding darkness, she started her slow journey towards a distant light, the possible sanctuary from the haunting of her pursuers.

As Yuki moved away from the mansion, her fear left a bitter taste in her mouth. But the thought of her unborn children gave her the courage to continue. The haunting of Yuki was not over.
