Meet Emily and Bella, two ordinary teenagers who were inseparable best friends. They did everything together - from homework to gossiping about the latest trends and boys at school.

As teenagers, their lives revolved around their phones. Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok - you name it, they had it. Selfies were their favorite pastime.

One day, as they were clicking selfies, Bella noticed something odd in the background of their pictures.

"Look, Emily! Isn't that a face behind us in the picture?" Bella asked, pointing at the screen.

Emily squinted at the screen. She could just make out a faint, blurry image. It did resemble a face, she admitted.

They looked around. There was no one else in the room. They shrugged it off, attributing it to a camera glitch.

But then, it happened again. And again. The same face, always lurking in the background of their photos.

Emily suggested they delete the pictures and restart their phones. But even after they did, the face was still there.

They tried different cameras, but the result was the same. The face, always present, began to look more sinister with every picture.

Soon, Emily and Bella became obsessed with the mysterious face. They spent hours researching online, but found nothing that could explain it.

One day, Bella had an idea. "What if we took a picture in the dark?" she suggested. Emily agreed reluctantly.

They turned off the lights and clicked a picture. To their horror, the face was now clearer than ever, grinning wickedly at them.

The girls were terrified. They didn't know what to do. Who could they tell? Who would believe them?

The next day at school, Emily and Bella were visibly shaken. Their friends noticed and asked them what was wrong.

They decided to show their friends the pictures. To their surprise, their friends could see the face too.

The word spread around school. Some thought it was a prank, others were genuinely scared. But no one had any explanations.

Emily and Bella were no longer clicking selfies. They were too afraid to even look at their phones. The face had become a nightmare for them.

One day, a teacher overheard the girls discussing the face. Intrigued, he asked to see the pictures.

The teacher was an avid reader of paranormal phenomena. He recognized the face from one of his books. He promised to help the girls.

The next day, he arrived with a small wooden box. "This," he said, "is a spirit box. It can communicate with the other side."

The girls were skeptical, but desperate. They followed the teacher's instructions and asked the spirit why it was haunting their selfies.

The spirit box crackled to life. A voice, barely audible, replied, "I just want to be in the picture."

Emily and Bella were stunned. The spirit wasn't malicious; it just wanted to be seen. They felt a strange sense of relief.

The teacher explained that the spirit was probably attached to one of their phones. He suggested they try to help it move on.

Emily and Bella held a small ceremony, asking the spirit to find peace and leave their phones. They hoped it would work.

The next day, they took a picture. To their relief, the face was gone. They thanked their teacher, feeling a weight lifted off their shoulders.

Life returned to normal for Emily and Bella. They resumed their selfie sessions, now with a newfound respect for the unseen world.

But they never forgot the face that haunted their selfies. It was a chilling reminder of the mysteries that lay beyond their understanding.

And so, the tale of Emily and Bella's mysterious selfie became a legend in their school. A tale to be told in hushed whispers during sleepovers.

As for Emily and Bella, they learned a valuable lesson - not everything can be explained. And sometimes, the most horrifying experiences can turn into unforgettable adventures.
