There was something eerie about the abandoned underground mall. The silence was deafening, only interrupted by the occasional drip of water from the leaking ceiling. The boy, named Jack, had always been adventurous and curious, but this place gave him an unsettling feeling.

Jack took a deep breath and continued his exploration. He had a flashlight in his hand, its beam dancing on the walls of the abandoned mall. The more he delved in, the creepier it became. Suddenly, he heard a noise.

It was a low, grinding sound that echoed through the empty corridors. Jack felt a shiver run down his spine. He turned around and in the beam of his flashlight, he saw it; a large figure, a puppet, rolling towards him on wheels.

Terrified, Jack turned and ran. The puppet on wheels, however, was surprisingly fast. It chased him relentlessly, its wooden face unmoving, its wheels screeching on the stone floor.

Jack darted through the empty shops and corridors, his heart pounding. He threw glances over his shoulder, seeing the puppet gaining on him. He needed to think of a plan, and fast.

He remembered a toy store he had passed earlier. If he could get there, he could maybe use something to stop the puppet. With newfound determination, he changed his course towards the store.

As he reached the toy store, he quickly scanned the shelves. His eyes fell on a box of marble balls. An idea formed in his mind. He grabbed the box and turned around, the puppet was just outside the store.

Jack threw the marbles on the floor, just as the puppet rolled in. The wheels of the puppet slipped on the marbles, causing it to lose control and crash into a shelf.

Jack didn't waste any time. He ran out of the store, leaving the puppet behind. He didn't stop running until he reached the entrance of the underground mall, gasping for air.

He glanced back one last time, half expecting the puppet to emerge from the darkness. But there was nothing. He had escaped. Jack couldn't believe what he had experienced. But he knew one thing for sure; he wouldn't be exploring abandoned places anytime soon.
